A (modular) full-wall home office using real wood veneers, and modern finishes for contrast, clean lines, it has functionality at it’s heart but interesting details to set it aside from normal generic cabinetry.
The client wanted a purposeful office with space to display pictures and personal items whilst maximising storage potential, rather than the space feeling like a box room with a desk.
The design was shaped with the client from the very start. First with how the room was used and the constraints with existing furniture which demanded consideration. Three separate design iterations were provided until it felt balanced between form and function. Material samples were shared early on so the client had time to consider and choose.
The upper open shelving was designed as a feature wall and the main focus of the piece. integrated LED lighting allows it to be almost invisible when off, providing a warm illumination when on. The section’s modular design avoided long straight runs, making the design unique.
A central bank of push-to-open drawers without handles, to avoid breaking up the lines, keep essentials like documents, keys and other important items organised and out of sight.

The lower section uses a sliding mechanism allowing unfettered access.

Handle-free fronts keep the whole run uninterrupted and crisp . The oak introduces warmth; the darker Cleaf provides the weight and definition that creates a masculine tone.
